I'm in the slow lane to success and I'm not quitting
Two things happened last week:
This article, from 2012, appeared in my Facebook memories and a Motivation Monday subscriber wrote me this: "Glad to see how you and your business have continued to grow and evolve. I also love that you are working in the Dunlap community and raising money and awareness for a GREAT cause. Keep sending out positive vibes to all of us who need it!" (I always appreciate feedback -- positive or constructive.)
And it struck me. I've been working on my business for so many years. My automatic response to her?
Every day you don't quit is a day you get stronger.
Do you know how many days I've wanted to quit? So many.
You know why I don't? Because at the end of each day, month, or year, for gosh sake, I ultimately love what I do. I know I create dramatic shifts in people's lives.
And if I would quit? The people looking for my unique style of coaching wouldn't get it. And as Wayne Dyer put it: I would die with my music still in me.
What do they say about overnight success? It takes 20 years? I relate. In my experience, it takes this long because of all the mindset blocks we have at every stage of the way. Blocks that feel like insurmountable and immovable facts.
I recently wrote about the word 'hard' and how I've been blind to how much it has stifled my business growth for years.
Look. We're ALL a work in progress. We all have blocks and setbacks. We all have inner monologues that can be dramatic and unhelpful when we're working on our important goals.
And so what.
Does that mean we quit?
{{ subscriber.first_name | capitalize }}, if you have a dream or important goal and you're on the struggle bus 'trying hard' to believe in yourself, you're human.
And if you want, you can be the human who grows and strengthens instead of quits. I believe in you..
When you think about where you are and where you want to be, what thoughts come up?
Sometimes we’re unknowingly in a bad self-relationship, listening to the wrong voice. I have a quiz that sheds light. Wanna take it? It takes 48-seconds. Get it here.
