Stop normalizing these 7 behaviors, they’re destroying you!
Being busy
Needing to be perfect
Needing to control
Stressing/worrying/anxiety-ing through situations
Overthinking and what-if-ing
People-pleasing
Comparison
Look at this list. Do you see anything wrong with it?
Like...practicing these things shouldn’t be normal!?
Or do you think I’m wacky for suggesting this? If you do, I completely understand where you’re coming from because I used to practice all of these and thought it was normal to do so.
What would it look like to others if I wasn’t busy? Being busy was a badge of honor.
Being perfect was normal because why on earth would I ever want to be half-ass?
Controlling my day, food intake, exercise, what other people thought of me…you name it…was important because I thought it really kept me in control.
I thought stressing through my day and to-do list was important because it kept me motivated to accomplish it all.
Overthinking all the possible negative ‘what-ifs’ was smart because it kept me from making mistakes.
People-pleasing was honorable because it showed how easy-going, caring, and responsible I was.
Comparing myself to a high standard and then beating myself up to achieve it simply made sense because I never wanted to be seen as lazy.
None of this is normal! I know this now.
Operating from all of the opposites is absolutely the best way to move through your days!
If you have normalized any of these areas and are curious about what it would be like to show up each day with ease, trust, flow, peace, joy, confidence, genuine productivity, and follow-through, MindBodyNOW is the solution. This small group coaching class teaches you life-shifting tools that up-level your whole life in only eight weeks.
