Your mind is probably feeding you a lot of believable what-if and other negative thought loops. “What if I try to develop myself and I fail?”, “What if I get more confidence and my partner leaves?”, “What if I learn to stand up for myself and I get fired?”, “Now’s not the right time, I need to ____ first.”, “My life’s not that bad.”

That’s your Inner Critic, BTW. She’s always spinning believable worse-case and justifiable stories for your ‘benefit’. Yet your benefit is getting to stay in your really uncomfortable comfort zone.

If you’re between a 0-1

You’ve either already done a great job working on yourself and you’re living large because you have and apply the right tools (hell yeah!) or you’re just not ready yet and your mind is telling you that you’re great just where you are.

Your mind says it’s riskier to grow yourself then to stay the same. And even though this may feel true for you (you feel your thinking after all) it doesn’t have to be and I would encourage you to get curious about that.
